Wartortoise was one of Master Megalodon‘s heroic nemeses.

In 2020 (Tales from the Improverse #16) for reasons at the time unknown Wartortoise illegally flew into Canadian airspace directly for Master Megalodon’s house. She intercepted him on the front porch, fully armed, and the two fought to a near standstill near the middle of Stanley Park, where they landed after the initial strike.

The Team arrived and attempted to defuse the situation, but it became obvious Wartortoise was under the effects of some kind of mind control via Hypercoral. Shortly into the fight the Hypercoral had also infected Megalodon. Megalodon tore Wartortoise out of his armor, revealing a thin eldery man. Min-Daro, Backlash, and The Light tried to defuse the situation with a sandwich made by her husband, Backlash’s father (he’s famous on Instagram for his sandwiches). The sandwich broke Megalodon out of her mind-controlled rage, but rather than standing down she looked at Wartortoise as she held him by the throat, grimaced, and broke his neck.
