Chryssa Tavoularea was raised a normal (though wealthy) young girl in the affluent Shaughnessy Heights area of Vancouver. She was privately-schooled and watched over diligently by what she thought were her adoring parents.

At age 16 the spell maintaining her normal life was disrupted and she discovered she was a Gorgon, daughter of Stheno (and niece of Medusa!) and her parents were Naiad’s charged with raising her safely as their own.

So now she slums it up at Redmayne Academy. But if she has to go there, she’s going to rule the school. And maybe get rid of that annoying Honey Badger psycho…

Gorgon’s powers include impenetrable scaly flesh, mythic strength, speed, and fighting abilities, and the odd side-effect of everything she destroys turning to stone. When The Light asked about this, Chryssa angrily replied “the myths you read are propaganda told by Men. They didn’t have the courage to admit we beat them before they turned to stone so they said we had some ‘magical gaze’ they could barely avoid. Assholes.”

Gorgon isn’t a villain, exactly, but thinks The Team don’t belong at her Redmayne Academy.
