Bell is an Aquaan — a sentient species of cetacean-like humanoids from the world of Aquaas. In mid-2020 (Tales from the Improverse #21-22) The Team came to Aquaas just as their entire world began to be engulfed by The Darkness. The Light met Bell, then a librarian assisting with research on the threat, and the two began a fumbling, short-lived relationship.

After Bryl, the capital city of Aquaas, was mystically transported to Earth’s Pacific Ocean by Min-Daro‘s ritual, Bryl became a diplomat for her people, but was recently seen as a contest in the Great White Pope’s Battle P.I.T. competition, where she defeated The Light while wielding dual energy blades of Aquaan design.
